About The Course

It is no secret that 3D printing is taking the world by storm as it forms a vital part of digital dentistry.

Digital modes of design and appliance fabrication are slowly taking over more traditional and analogue ways of practising dentistry.

If you want to keep afloat in the advancing world of digital dentistry, join this course to learn how to integrate additive 3D printing technologies into your practice safely, saving you time and money. Explore the many benefits which simple digital design and 3D printing can bring to your practice and find out what 3D printers best suit your budget and practice. In addition, practise approved techniques to design and fabricate occlusal splints, long-term provisional crowns and surgical guides.

We'll be running live prints during the course so hopefully everyone gets to bring something back home as a souvenir! We wil also go through software to help you design dental appliances and prepare them for printing and we wil explore the physical workflow, from physical printing, washing and finally curing.

Meet The Course Trainer

Dr Andrew Ip

BDS (Adi), MRACDS (GDP), Grad Dip Orthodontics (JCU), MSc Implantology & Dental Surgery (IMC), PGrad Dip Digital Dentistry (IDDA), PGrad Dip Oral Implants (ACDP)

About Andrew Ip

Handy Andy is a Sydney-based private general dentist who regularly presents on dental 3D printing. What began as a hobby years ago has evolved into a full-time digital dentistry passion for Dr. Andrew Ip. His expertise has taken him across the world-from the U.S. and Europe to Asia and Australia.

From simple models to zirconia printing, Dr. Ip has worked with nearly every printable dental application available globally and has operated more than 20 printers in his career. He has spent several years teaching dentists and technicians how to integrate additive technologies into their workplaces and serves as a Key Opinion Leader for multiple digital dentistry  companies. His knowledge is grounded in true hands-on experience.

When he's not designing surgical guides, printing splints, or polishing printed crowns, you'll find him glued to a screen-designing printable table organisers or nesting a helmet for his cats in a slicer.
